His Grace Lord Sir Paul McKenna, 5th Duke of Greater Tytannia COA is the former, second Prime Minister of the Empire of Adammia. He is also a former Duke of Maternia and a former Minister of Defence. He was an early member of the Labour Party, but now sits in the Ruling Council as an Independent. Married to Emperor Mother Jayne, he is the step-father of Emperor Adam I.
Non-micronational life
Paul McKenna was born on 16 April 1963 near Newcastle upon Tyne. He had two children, Chris and Caitlin McKenna, with his ex-wife. He met and began a relationship with Jayne Belcher in 2011. He previously worked for Yorkshire Evening Post, and is currently a janitor for West Yorkshire Police. He married Emperor Mother Jayne in June 2019, in Adammia's first ever legally-recognised wedding.
Micronational career
Paul McKenna's involvement with the Empire of Adammia began when he became a signatory of the Treaty of Annexation for Tytannia and Sapientia on 28 April 2013, which made him a citizen of the Empire. He was knighted on 19 February 2014. When he moved into his partner Emperor Mother Jayne's house in Maternia on 1 April 2014, he became the first person to immigrate into Adammia. Although he was not a member of the Ruling Council at the time, the Council voted to allow him to become Minister of Infrastructure on 8 June 2014, replacing Emperor Adam I. Following the 2014 local elections, McKenna became Duke of Maternia, replacing Prince Jake as the Emperor redistributed seats on the Ruling Council.
After Sir Reginald Hall founded the Labour Party of Adammia on 18 July 2015, McKenna was the next member to join. He stood unsuccessfully for Prime Minister in the 2015 National Election, but then stood again in 2016 and won, becoming Adammia's second Prime Minister. When appointing his cabinet, he stood down as Minister of Infrastructure, replacing himself with Emperor Adam.
In the 2017 National Election, McKenna stood for re-election but suffered a 35% collapse in vote share, leaving him in third place. He was succeeded as Prime Minister by Prince Jake. He briefly served as Minister of Defence in Jake's Cabinet, before the Empire of Adammia Act 2017 cost him his seat on the Council, and he effectively retired as a politician.
In 2020, McKenna returned to Adammic politics in a minor role as Duke of Greater Tytannia. At this time he confirmed that he was politically independent, not associating with Labour's successor party, the Red Green Alliance.
