The Emperor's Fabulous Quiz is an event which takes place in the Empire of Adammia on three occasions every year. The first event is typically held on the closest Saturday to 13 April during the government-sponsored Foundation Day celebrations (when it is referred to as The Emperor's Fabulous Foundation Day Quiz). The second event (known as The Emperor's Fabulous Pub Quiz), which started out as a spin-off event from 2016-17 held for the Emperor's flatmates in the former colony of Alluria, is noted for being aimed at a more mature audience. It was revived in 2020 when it was incorporated into the Adammia Games. The third event is held on New Year's Eve (31 December, when it is referred to as The Emperor's Fabulous New Year's Quiz). The quiz is part of celebrations organised by the Imperial Government on those three occasions and is hosted by Emperor Adam I. It takes a form similar to that of a pub quiz, inspired by the "World Famous Pub Quiz" held on the Friday night of the bi-annual Insomnia Gaming Festival. The quiz's attendees are typically the members of the House of Hall, and as such, it is a lot more family-friendly than the event which inspired it.
The quiz is known for its distinctive style; the Emperor, when hosting, typically wears his top hat and a black or red bow tie. As well as being read out, questions are presented on a slide show, in white text on a black background. Video clips of various memes are played in between rounds, and an image-based meme is usually included with the team registration sheet. Before the quiz, during the interval, and after the quiz, background music is played, which is typically so-called "cheesy" 80s music.
History
The first instance of the quiz took place during New Year's Eve celebrations on 31 December 2015. The first quiz consisted of five rounds: general knowledge, film TV and games trivia, a coin hunt, the "impossible" round (consisting of three extremely hard questions which were worth more points), and music. This format was improved for the second quiz held for the State Opening of Council on 20 August 2016 (the Foundation Day 2016 quiz being cancelled due to the death of Winifred Hall), and featured more questions, a prize and the removal of the coin hunt and the "impossible" round.
In October 2016, Emperor Adam I revealed that a spin-off of the event, known as the Emperor's Fabulous Pub Quiz, would be hosted by him in the Colony of Alluria for fellow University of Birmingham students. This variation of the quiz is aimed at more mature audiences, and as such is more similar to the Insomnia Pub Quiz which inspired it than the original Emperor's Fabulous Quiz. The original does not have a theme tune as such, but the Pub Quiz version's unofficial theme tune is Come on Eileen by Dexy's Midnight Runners, which is traditionally played at the end of the pub quiz, whilst the answers are being marked.

Joe Daniels Pub Quiz
Emperor Adam I was invited to host a short, single-round quiz as part of the 21st birthday party of Commodore Sir Joe Daniels, held in Alluria on 17 November 2017. The quiz was written by General Sir Luca Panconi. The quiz was branded in the style of the Emperor's Fabulous Quiz, but was written by someone other than the Emperor for the first time.
UBLD Choose A Charity Pub Quiz
On 27 November 2017, the Emperor hosted the UBLD Choose A Charity Pub Quiz, at the Indie Lounge in Selly Oak, Birmingham. This event was ran by the University of Birmingham Liberal Democrats rather than the Office of the Emperor, but the quiz was styled and structured in the same manner as the Emperor's Fabulous Quiz, so it is considered a spin-off. It was the first version of the quiz to have not taken place on Adammic territory. The quiz was the largest hosted to date by the Emperor, and £70 was raised for a charity of the winning team's choice, which was Médecins Sans Frontières. The winning team also won £30 as their personal prize. The quiz was ran in parallel with a raffle, which accounted for a significant proportion of the charity donation. Notably, the quiz was attended by the Prime Minister of Wazakhstan, Ned Hilton, marking the first occasion that a quiz was attended by the head of government of a micronation other than Adammia.

On 30 October 2018, the Emperor hosted the UBLD Pub Quiz, at the Indie Lounge in Selly Oak, Birmingham, the sequel to the previous year's quiz organised by UBLD. £90 was raised for the homelessness charity Shelter. The quiz was ran in parallel with a raffle, which accounted for a significant proportion of the charity donation.
