His Eminence The Most Honourable Edward Hilton PM KOF COA or Ned Hilton is the current Prime Minister and founder of the Kingdom of Wazakhstan. President of the Liberal Party, he has been Head of State since the nation's foundation in 2017. He is also a citizen of Adammia, as a close friend and ally of Emperor Adam I and is a member of the Liberal-Moderate Party of Adammia. He currently resides in the city of Waztana, in the Duchy of Wazmania.

Politics

His politics have been described as Liberal and Socially Liberal. He supports the legalisation of Cannabis and Sex-Work, describing the latter as "A lifeline by which many disadvantaged individuals make ends meet. It should be legalised so that they are not imprisoned for trying to survive in a country where the system of social security systematically neglects them. Until these people are receiving the support they need, they should not be made to feel like criminals in an attempt to support themselves and families." A pro-abortionist, he opposes the argument of pro-life as a mother in every situation should be given the choice of whether to abort or not.

Hilton's political stance

He also supports free market economics and believes that there should be a higher tax rate for the top earners. On social issues, he believes in reforming the Social Care system and benefits, claiming the current system "does nothing to help those who need it, creating confusion, a lack of efficiency and a loss of money." His political stance has been likened to that of Mahatma Gandhi.

Non-Micronational Politics

Outside of micronationalist politics, Hilton pursues politics as a member of the Liberal Democrats. Campaigning for the party in the local area, he stood as council candidate for the North Edgbaston ward in the Birmingham City Council election, 2018. He came 7th with 180 votes, gaining 2.22% of the vote.

Non-micronational life

His Eminence's personal Standard

A keen sports fan, Hilton has supported Huddersfield Giants rugby league team from a young age. He was a season ticket holder until 2012 when it became financially nonviable to sustain the cost given his increasing infrequent attendance to the games. He currently attends around 3 games per season, though his passion for the club has never faltered in this time. To a lesser degree, he also supports hometown club, Huddersfield Town. In his spare time, he enjoys playing badminton at the University of Birmingham; and running, having completed 29 Parkruns. A former rugby player, he was Scrum Half at Ilkley Rugby Club.

Micronational Career

Hilton is the first and so far only Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Wazakhstan, having founded the state in late 2017. In addition to being the head of government, he also leads the most popular political party, the Liberal Party along with deputy leader, Elliot Thompson. Hilton is currently responsible for all decisions that take place within the country, playing the most active role in how the country is organised, governed and changed. He has been solely responsible for the designs of duchy names, flags and locations, whilst acting as the chief administrator by dealing with all matters regarding citizenship.

He is an active member of the Liberal Democrat Society at the University of Birmingham where he met and was inspired to form a micronation by fellow Micronationalist Adam I, Emperor of Adammia. He also attends the society with Alex Helliker and Ems Simpson, both citizens of the Empire of Adammia.

Hilton is also a member of the Liberal Drinks Mafia, an informal social group of university students which currently dominates politics in the Birmingham Sector, with many of its members serving in the governments of Adammia and Wazakhstan, the two nations of that sector. He joined the group after attending some UoB Liberal Democrat events in his first year at the university. All of its members are drawn from the membership of the University of Birmingham Liberal Democrats society. Whilst the group is not known to collectively exercise its influence within either the society or micronational politics, it nonetheless is considered theoretically influential, and can be compared with the Cambridge Mafia of the 1960s which went on to dominate the British Conservative Party.

Adammia

In the Empire of Adammia, Hilton is currently a member of the Liberal-Moderate Party, having previously been a member of the Nuclear So-and-so Party. He sits as the Delegate of Abroad Citizens. However, his position as Prime Minister of Wazakhstan, which has been criticised as dictatorial by Adammia's ruling Storm Party, has precluded Hilton from any frontbench positions in Adammia.
