Horatio Eden, who formed the Eden Ministry, was elected as Vorsitzender receiving the majority votes on the October 2016 general elections. The ministry is officially known as the His Imperial and Royal Exalted Majesty's 17th ministry. The cabinet is made up of 11 members, 6 of which are ministers and 5 of which hold positions only. A coalition was formed with the Independence Party of Abelden and therefore they took up some other positions in the Cabinet. The 3rd Reichsversammlung was also dissolved and the 4th Reichsversammlung was established on the same day.

It was preceded by the Renwick Ministry, formed by Patrick Renwick, and succeeded by the Second Hardy Ministry, formed by Emiel Hardy.
