The Emperor appointed a new cabinet to replace the Duke of Creton's government. The government of Lewis did not last long and a general elections was held on the 23 July 2016, with Emiel Hardy being the winner of the elections and the Conservatives taking the majority seats of the Reichsversammlung. Lewis therefore became the Leader of the Opposition once the elections ended.
It was preceded by the Third Lawton Ministry, formed by the 9th Vorsitzender Llewelyn Lawton. This was the first cabinet after the 2nd Reichsversammlung was dissolved and was replaced by the 3rd Reichsversammlung by the Emperor.
