The 6th general election was of the Abeldane Empire was held on 23 July 2016. Emiel Hardy and Isaac Reuel, both of the Conservative Party, were elected as Vorsitzender and Stellvertreter, respectively. The Liberal Party's Mike Lewis, who had been Vorsitzender until the election, became the new Leader of the Opposition in the Reichsversammlung.

This was the first general election after Abelden became a federal empire and the second elections of the 3rd Reichsversammlung.
