The Ministry of Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs is the ministerial department responsible for Abelden's diplomatic relations with other nations and the affairs between members of the Abeldane Commonwealth.
Established on 6 June 2014, it was the first ministry to be established in Abelden and remains as the most senior ministry among all the other existing ministries in the Empire.
Some of the responsibilities the ministry takes are:
- To uphold relations with other nations
- To ensure that the Commonwealth is stable
- To oversee the acceptance of new Commonwealth members
- To oversee the deployment of troops to foreign countries by request
