The Liberty Front, also known by its initials as LF, is an Abeldane political party. Ideologically centrist and libertarian, the party was founded by Edward Daniels as a successor to Liberty Union (LU), a splinter faction of the Abeldane Liberal National Alliance founded by Horatio Eden. The party was part of the Concordia electoral alliance, but left in the aftermath of Concordiagate.
History
Liberty Front was founded on January 17, 2019 by Edward Daniels, a former member of Liberty Union. Initially, Daniels sought for Liberty Union's stability after the party's failure in the December 2018 federal election. Horatio Eden, the founder of Liberty Union announced that he would be dissolving the party after failing to receive any grounds in the election. Daniels hoped to succeed Eden as Leader of Liberty Union instead of dissolving the party but Eden was determined to dissolve the party in the end. Shortly after Liberty Union was dissolved, Liberty Front was founded as a successor party. Daniels announced on March 7, 2019 that he will be running for Vorsitzender of the Abeldane Empire. On March 30, Daniels was duly elected Vorsitzender of the Abeldane Empire.
On the 29th of May 2019, Ashley Jaax, and Conner Stumperth announced the establishment of the Libertarian-Socialist Caucus of the Liberty Front, as a Caucus to promote Libertarian-Socialist ideals within the Party, Ashley Jaax was made Provisonal Director of the Caucus, while Conner Stumperth was made Provision Vice-Director. Until early July 2020, Daniels would continue to leader the party until his departure from micronationalism. After his departure, Brandon Wu would become Liberty Front leader. From June to July 2020, Liberty Front would be a member of the Concordia Alliance with the Pirate League. The alliance would dissolve after the start of Concordiagate, which was a political scandal revolving the formation of the Pirate League and electoral fraud.
Policy
Liberty Front's policy is based off of a manifestation between Libertarianism, Populism and Nationalism to some extent. More mainstream, the party embraces liberty and Classical liberal ideas based off of Enlightenment philosophers such as John Locke. The party also bases much of its ideas off of American libertarians such as Ron Paul, Larry Sharpe, etc. The party seeks to reform domestic policy as well as expand on states' rights by creating a balance between federal and reserved powers.
