August 2015 Austenasian local elections
The August 2015 Austenasian local elections took place on 31 August 2015 in conjunction with the 2015 Constitutional Referendum. There was a total turnout of 84.6%.
The subjects of the ten Austenasian Towns (and Caldari, a March) voted for a Representative to speak and vote on their behalf in the House of Representatives. Every one of the ten seats saw the incumbent stand as the only candidate, and all were elected.
Voters had the option to abstain, which would have rendered an election inconclusive should it have gained more votes than the candidate. However, despite the high turnout, only a single vote of abstention was cast, with no effect on the election.
Lord Vice Admiral Eren Lewis and Lord Sivert MacLean were elected as the Representatives of Terentia and of Harenfall respectively, having served only as Acting Representatives since the creation of their Towns several months ago.
