The Fatherland Party is a political party in the Empire of Austenasia, established on 24 April 2019 by HSH Prince Dionisiy I and Lord Edward Gunderson to counter left-wing politics in the Empire.
History
The Fatherland party was established on 24 April 2019 by Prince Dionisiy and Lord Edward Gunderson to counter left-wing politics in the Empire. Since then it has countered numerous socially progressive acts in the House of Representatives and has issued a party program. It was disestablished as a legal organization on 26 May 2020 through the Political Parties Act (2020).
Ideology
The Fatherland Party is a social conservative organisation. The party values her values of "Austenasian culture", believing more value must be given to the Christian religion in relation to legislation. The party supports Caesaropapism, based on how Emperor Justinian administered the Church; "the Emperor was the Head of the Church in the sense that he had the right and duty of regulating by his laws the minutest details of worship and discipline, and also of dictating the theological opinions to be held in the Church".[1] The party futhermore supports political reforms establishing a futher "Roman system" of governance and a form of direct democracy through binding referanda.
The party opposes drug usage in the Empire, and opposes climate change "hysteria".[2]
