The Chief Ambassador of Austenasia is the member of Cabinet who is in charge of the Foreign Office of the Empire of Austenasia. The Chief Ambassador is therefore responsible for maintaining diplomatic relations with other nations and for representing and promoting the interests of the Empire of Austenasia internationally.

Under the 2008 Constitution, the Chief Ambassador was elected by the other Representatives, but under the 2011 Constitution is appointed by the Monarch. The Chief Ambassador is ex officio Austenasian ambassador to any nation or people for which the Foreign Office has not appointed a subordinate ambassador.

The position has been held by Lord William Wilson since October 2024.

Oversaw the creation of the alliance with Moylurg (Wilcsland), the creation of Austenasian protectorates over Adjikistan (Monovia) and Domanglia, and arranged for the Empire to appear in three foreign (a British, Italian and South Korean) newspapers. Re-elected as Chief Ambassador by Cabinet on 1 January 2009, 1 January 2010 and 1 January 2011, and confirmed as Chief Ambassador by Declan I on 21 September 2011 following the implementation of the 2011 Constitution. Lost office after failing to be re-elected as Representative of Wrythe.
02		HIH Crown Princess Caroline	24 Dec 2011	24 Jun 2013	Appointed by Declan I, naming Crown Prince Jonathan her deputy. While she was in office, the Empire entered into diplomatic relations with Florenia, Überstadt, Renasia, Starhigh, Erephisia, Tatsumiya and Landashir. Austenasian protection of Domanglia and Dorzhabad was rescinded, (and was extended over New Balland until its dissolution), and Monovia's status as a Protectorate was changed to that of a protected state.
03		HIH Eritoshi, Countess of Memphis	24 Jun 2013	17 Mar 2016	Appointed by Jonathan I after playing an instumental role in the Liberation of Orly. Held office during the cutting of ties with the New Wessex of Declan I and the establishment of diplomacy with Ashukovo, Wyvern, Leylandiistan, Ladonia, Zealandia, Volfa, Westarctica, and Rudno, as well as during the 2014 New South Scotland crisis. Under her tenure, Sabovia and Wilcsland became protected states of the Empire. Appointed James von Puchow as the first official Deputy Chief Ambassador, to whom some of her duties were delegated. Resigned for personal reasons.
04		Lord Charles Clarke, Duke of Grantabridge	17 Mar 2016	23 Sep 2016	Appointed by Jonathan I after the resignation of Countess Eritoshi. Supported the dissolution of the office of Deputy Chief Ambassador, and held office during the establishing of diplomacy with Wildflower Meadows, Ongal, Delvera, Mercia, and Sabia and Verona. Attempted to create an "Austenasian Commonwealth" as a unifying organigation of guidance for the younger micronations of the MicroWiki Community, but this project was cut short when he resigned upon his home-town of Lichtenstein being ceded back to the United Kingdom.

06		HIM Emperor Jonathan I	8 Oct 2017	20 Apr 2024	Appointed himself to the position of Chief Ambassador during a Cabinet reshuffle. Held office for roughly six and a half years, during which the Empire entered into diplomacy with many different nations and actively worked towards formalising the majority of its diplomatic relations with official treaties. An official alliance was entered into with Wyvern, work towards an Association of British Micronations was conducted with Adammia and Lundenwic (including a multilateral meeting in August 2021 and an Austenasian state visit to Adammia in October 2023), and the Austenasian delegation regularly held high office within the Grand Unified Micronational.
