Lord Charles Clarke, Duke of Grantabridge is a former Austenasian nobleman and politician. He was directly responsible for the addition of Emperorsland, Lichtenstein, Glencoe and Heischierland to the Austenasian empire's territory (and perhaps indirectly Dekker, as it too, like the territories just listed, formerly belonged to Lord Charles Clarke's previous micronation), and was the founder, leader and whip of the Austenasian Conservative Party. At the time when he ceased to be Austenasian, he was Chief Ambassador (since 17 March 2016), Minister for the Environment (since 3 May 2014), Representative of Lichtenstein (officially since 12 October 2014), Governing Commissioner of Heischierland (since 17 July 2014), Privy Counsellor (since 12 March 2014) and Police Inspector of Lichtenstein (since 17 April 2014), although he had held many other Austenasian and micronational positions in the past. Lord Charles Clarke was the first Speaker of Austenasia's House of Representatives, and was the creator and owner of the world's only micronational tabloid, the Austenasian (Daily) Star. Lord Charles Clarke also created an "AMU" for space and a one-man micronational paranormal research agency in 2011 and 2012 respectively, and attempted to create an organisation for mutual recognition between micronations (a micronational UN - "Micronations United") in one or the other of those years. His last project as a micronationalist was to create an Austenasian Commonwealth (a project which he left unfinished).

Lord Clarke attended three historic micronational events: the Seats of East Anglia Summit (the largest, if not the only, summit of micronations since the 2011 Intermicronational Summit), PoliNation: 2nd International Conference on Micronations (the largest gathering of micronationalists and micropatrologists of all time) and Draega Multinational (the largest gathering of micronational representatives since the said PoliNation conference). Partly through these events has Lord Clarke amassed a vast micronational collection (perhaps the largest), which he used to create the Austenasian Imperial Museum in 2014, the largest (and perhaps only) thing of its kind.

Micronational career

Lord Charles Clarke had long been interested in micronationalism, ever since his primary school days. However, he first joined an internet micronational community only in 2011, and had been involved with multiple micronational entities (far too many to list here) until he retired from micronationalism in 2016.

Subjectships

As a citizen of both the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Empire of Austenasia Lord Charles Clarke was a subject of two monarchs, shown below.

Full style

This was the full style of Lord Charles Clarke at the time when he left micronationalism. On 14 July 2015 in an act of Austenasian patriotism, Lord Clarke renounced all of his non-Austenasian, non-British titles, which included, for example, the Dukedom of Urquhart (Natal), a Grand Knighthood of the Most Excellent Order of the Wildebeest (Natal), numerous Ashukov honours, and the odd honour from Nolland and Monovia.

His Grace, Lord Inspector Charles Clarke, Duke of Grantabridge, Count of Linnheside, Baron of Lichtenstein, Baron of Glencoe, Lord of Glencoe, Knight of Honour of the Glorious Order of St. John, Knight of the Order of the Crown Princess, Officer of the Austenasian Order.
