Chersoneses is an Austenasian Crown Dependency and an enclave of Ukraine. It was established on 1 June 2020 after the landowners donated the land to Austenasia. Chersoneses is situated near Mykolaiv. Chersoneses is by far the largest individual land claim of Austenasia, and by itself comprises nearly half of all Austenasian territory.

The Crown Dependency was annexed in part due to the circumstances surrounding the end of the May 2020 political crisis in Austenasia. With the resignation of Prince Dionisiy and the secession of several large areas of land from Austenasia, the Prince arranged for Taras Oliynyk - a relative of his, and a resident of the land - to claim Chersoneses for Austenasia both as a gesture of goodwill and in partial "compensation" for the land claims that would be leaving.

Chersoneses consists of two non-contiguous areas of farmland, separated by 0.22 miles at their closest point. Upon its annexation, Mykolai Olinynk and his son Taras - both Orthodox Christians - lived in a property on the southern-most piece of land. Taras was appointed Governing Commissioner of the new Crown Dependency.

The two residents of Chersoneses were drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine on 22 February 2022, with concerns for their safety being raised due to the ongoing Russian invasion. On 9 March, the government was informed that Taras was receiving treatment after having suffered a serious gunshot wound in battle. He died from his injuries on the evening of 13 March 2022, the first time in the Empire's history that an Austenasian national had lost their life. Emperor Jonathan I announced an eleven day Empire-wide state of mourning, and appointed Mykolai as the new Governing Commissioner. However, with the conflict ongoing, Mykolai remains in danger.
