|Appointer||The Monarch on the advice of the Prime Minister|
The Chancellor of Austenasia is the member of Cabinet who is in charge of the Treasury of the Empire of Austenasia. The Chancellor is therefore responsible for the finances, government income, and national expenditure of Austenasia. Major decisions on the budget are made with a majority vote by the Monarch, Prime Minister and Chancellor.
Under the 2008 Constitution, the Chancellor was elected by the other Representatives, but under the 2011 Constition is appointed by the Monarch, although the requirement to be a Representative remained up until the Second Amendment was passed in January 2018. The incumbent, since 1 June 2020, has been Lord Austin Jaax.
