The Chancellor of Austenasia is the member of Cabinet who is in charge of the Treasury of the Empire of Austenasia. The Chancellor is therefore responsible for the finances, government income, and national expenditure of Austenasia. Major decisions on the budget are made with a majority vote by the Monarch, Prime Minister and Chancellor.

Under the 2008 Constitution, the Chancellor was elected by the other Representatives, but under the 2011 Constition is appointed by the Monarch, although the requirement to be a Representative remained up until the Second Amendment was passed in January 2018. The position has been held by Emperor Jonathan I since September 2021.

Although the title of "Chancellor" is often used for the head of government in Germanic countries and for the foreign minister in Latin America, the title as used in Austenasia is derived from that of the British finance minister, the Chancellor of the Exchequer. The title of said office is often abbreviated simply to Chancellor in common usage in the UK, and so inspired the name of the Austenasian position.
