The January 2009 Austenasian elections took place in the Empire of Austenasia on 1 January 2009. They were the first elections to take place in the Empire, and there was a turnout of 100%.
At this time, Wrythe was the sole Town of Austenasia. Its population voted for a Representative to speak and vote on their behalf in the Cabinet (since renamed the House of Representatives), as well as for the Prime Minister. At the Empire's foundation on 20 September 2008, Crown Prince Jonathan had been acclaimed as Prime Minister and as Representative of Wrythe, and was now democratically elected as such with 100% of the votes.
