Etymology

Gull Island is gets its namesake from Gull Island in the middle of Calumet Lake. The island is incredibly small and artificially made by dredging operations in the shipway.

History

The area was claimed during a claiming of territories across the midwest that have an interest in the presence. There are 5 other territories with this status. They lack any government or population and are administrated by the military. Gull Island was established on 20 May 2024 when interest continued to grow and a visit was conducted. The Wegmat Marines have still not explored the entirety of the territory but have been able to set up a civilian commission to govern the territory.
