An Unclaimed Zone refers to a land that is declared by a micronational group to no longer be part of a macronation but not part of a micronation. It is different from an area that is unclaimed by no micronation and an unclaimed zone is usually declared by a micronational citizen or government. In the Des Plaines Valley Sector declaring an unclaimed zone is commonly done by Weimar or Wegmat. Wegmat and Weimar have unofficially agreed that all Cook County Forest Preserve in a 15-mile radius is fair game to claim or perform micronational conduct. Weg Settlements are often scattered through the Unclaimed Zone in the Des Plaines Valley Sector.
