Parker I is a semi-retired micronationalist and the chairperson of the Maoist-Worker's Party of Secundomia which controls the government functions of the Federation of Secundomian Socialist Republics. Prior to its current iteration, he held various positions of power in Secundomian Sector micronations and abroad. In the MicroWiki Sector he is closely associated with and nearly synonymous with the various iterations of Secundomia.

Parker has been King of Secundomia 3 separate times. He was a "co-Consul" of Secundomia in December, 2009 and also president of the Republic of Secundomia in several separate terms. He was Military President of the Republic of Sterling and King of Sterling. For a brief period of time he was Chief Consul of Res Publica Tergumterra. In addition to strictly Secundomian Sector micronations, Parker I was elected Prime Minister of the Eran Federation and separately of the Slinky Republyc.

Personal life

Parker attended high school in Kansas and college in Missouri. He currently works in the technology sector after spending several years as an educator. He is an avid motorsports, football and hockey fan. He grew up heavily interested in politics and history. These interests manifested in developing simulated worlds and attracted him to micronationalism. He has multiple siblings, all who were somewhat involved in Secundomia. In particular, his brother, Spencer I, was an avid micronationalist from 2009 to 2011.

Micronational History

Introduction to Micronations

Parker I first got introduced to micronationalism in early 2009, when he read about Molossia, the Conch Republic, and Aerica on Wikipedia. At this time it did not occur to him to create his own micronation, however in late 2009, Parker I rediscovered the concept and planned to create his own nation with his brother, Spencer. He founded the Kingdom of Secundomia on December 15, 2009 to rival Spencer I's Republic of Skillz. After Skillz collapsed, Parker I and Spencer I created the Republic of Secundomia.

While the Kingdom of Secundomia and the Republic of Skillz were still young, Parker I discovered MicroWiki through a website about micronation lists. After reading MicroWiki for several days, Parker I created a page for Secundomia and himself.

Secundomian History

Parker I was the most prevalent leader in Secundomia. Without his involvement, Secundomia would likely have been a short-lived experiment. He was often praised by citizens for his foreign affairs work,[1][2] but been accused of being a dictator in the presidential position many times especially between Spring and Winter 2010.[3][4][5] Parker was the head of the Secundomian Intelligence Agency. He and Luke collaborated on the Finland Project, to investigate the nation of Voitokas.

When Luke of Secundomia, one of Parker's recruits, and Parker got into a struggle about the constitution, known as the Constitution Crisis, Parker I could barely hold onto his seat of power. But he ousted Luke in the next elections, and became co-president with Spencer I.

After serving as vide-president under Spencer, Parker won election to the office in March 2010. His first term as full-fledged president was a rocky one. The Cabinet Crisis took place between April 18, 2010 and April 20, 2010. During this period Parker I was labeled a dictator by several members of the public[6] for putting Ibrahim I on trial.

Parker I, after a brief period as Vice-President under Luke, regained power as president in late 2010. Although Secundomia and other nations under his influence have gone through many iterations since then, he has continuously retained almost exclusive power over the nation.

Sterling

Parker created the KOS because he felt he was losing power in Secundomia. Sterling was a "vassal"[7] of Secundomia, with Parker I as its King. In July 2010, Sterling became a colonial protectorate of Secundomia. On June 14, 2012, Parker re-assumed control of Sterling as a Military President. The country was later merged with Tergumterra eventually became known as the Socialist Republic of Sterling-Charcot.

Intermicronational Activity and Micronational Theory

While Parker was lauded for his intermicronational skills from within Secundomia, those outside of the country were divided. He was a controversial figure in the community, noted for his commitment to Simulationism, interventionism (including involvement in the Austenasian Civil War) and contrarianism. Although his views have changed since, his conservatism during the height of his activity was also a relative anomaly in the left-leaning MicroWiki community circa 2010. Parker associated closely with Bradley of Dullahan and other micronational conservatives. Parker was also one of very few to align themselves with Sebastian Linden during his controversial ban and return to MicroWiki, long prior to Linden's reevaluation by prominent members of the community.

He found himself often at odds with the old guard of the community, including figures like Alexander Reinhardt and Gaius Soergel Publicola. He raised the ire of secessionist micronations by his insistence that micronations not be taken seriously and his embrace of the potential within intermicronational warfare. Later in his micronational career, he caused an incident by repeatedly griefing the Wyvern minecraft server. This act resulted in his ban from the server and alienated him from some of his closest allies in the community.[8]

After attending high school, Parker's interest in micronationalism waned somewhat and his personality matured. As such, he was no longer found trolling or antagonizing the MicroWiki forums. This mollified his perception in the community and he became known for prominent leadership roles within the Eran Federation and the Slinky Republyc. Further into high school, Parker nearly entirely left the intermicronational community as his interest and time dedicated to other activities increased significantly. Parker remained in touch with many friends in the micronational world via social networking sites like Facebook, but later iterations of Secundomia, including the Secundomian Federation established while he was in college, did not engage in any official intermicronational activity. Parker remains occasionally active on MicroWiki, usually engaged in historical research and cleanup, but is not currently interested in further micronational simulation.

This resulted in the intermicronational appearance of synchronicity between the two countries while maintaining different internal affairs. Additionally, Sterling was often more aggressive, as issuing declarations of war was beyond Parker's powers within the Republic.
