King of Secundomia
The King of Secundomia was the title of the absolute monarch in three iterations of the micronation Secundomia. Controlled by the House of Sterling, it is dynastically associated with the King of Sterling, although controlling different territory. The King was conferred with absolute power in the Kingdom of Secundomia, the Reformed Kingdom of Secundomia and the Third Kingdom of Secundomia.
History
The title of King was created in 2009 by Parker I alongside the creation of the Kingdom of Secundomia in his backyard. His first reign was short yet belligerent, as one of his first acts was to declare war on the Republic of Skillz. After defeating his brother's fledgling nation, he decided to dissolve the title and found a republic which would eventually become the Republic of Secundomia.
The throne was unoccupied after this moment, although Parker would soon create the Kingdom of Sterling and establish the House of Sterling to go along with it. This house was closely associated with the position of King. After Secundomia's departure from Eran, Parker would re-establish the Reformed Kingdom of Secundomia in 2014. He refounded the title of King and conferred it with absolute powers. This change was mostly nominal, however as Parker had assumed absolute power of the Republic of Secundomia after the collapse of its electoral system in 2011.
In 2015, Parker would again reaffirm his title as King and expand his domain. Establishing the Third Kingdom of Secundomia, Parker made official the vassalage relationships between Secundomia with Sterling and Tergumterra. For the first time, all 3 of the major Secundomian realms under Parker's control were officially unified. The King officially lorded over the Princes of Tergumterra and Sterling, however due to Secundomia's minute population at the time, these positions were also held by Parker.
In August, the title of King would come to an end. Under pressure from an uprising lead by the Worker's Party of Secundomia and the Anti-Sloth Party, Parker I abdicated the throne and announced the creation of the Democratic Republic of Secundomia. Officially, this meant that the title of King would pass on to Spencer I, who was not an active member of Secundomia at the time. Because the monarchy was legally abolished by the Revolutionary Coalition government, Spencer would only be considered ruler by a legitimist interpretation. Regardless, he never pretended to the throne and there was no opposition to the Revolution, thus ending the Secundomian Monarchy. Technically, Parker did not abdicate his titles in Sterling or Tergumterra. This was unintentional and more of a clerical oversight, but it did extend the reign of the House of Sterling in those areas. These titles were officially abolished in 2016 by the MWPS government.
Line of Succession
The title of King was inherited through absolute primogeniture. The monarch's eldest child takes precedence over siblings regardless of gender.
