Road description

Map of roads in New Eiffel; the J16 in yellow

The highway runs solely through Smith Street, and begins at the easternmost point in Plitvice at the border between the city of New Leeds and ends at an intersection leading to Prince Zarel I road and Dead Tree Lane in Új Repülő. It runs alongside the Rugbull Field to the north, and N.B.R. Bike Parking to the south, and intersects with the J25 – which leads back into the J16 – before ending at the intersection with Dead Tree Lane and Prince Zarel I road.

History

The roadway has existed since at least late January 2018. The muddy roadway was created after bikes repeatedly rid over the same area; creating a muddy pathway. Originally it lead into the Main Route 1, as Dead Tree Lane and Prince Zarel I Road had not yet been constructed. The J16 was commonly used, and was the most used road in New Eiffel for at least four, or possibly more months, until it was overtaken by the Main Route 1. Since January 2019, the dirt path for the J16 has become overgrown, and mildly littered. The J16 is infrequently used in modern day.

The road had temporary closers due to hazardous conditions in January 2018, March 2018, July 2018, June–July 2019, and twice in January 2020.[2]

The J25

The J25 road marker

A dirt road called the J25 was constructed as a diversion to the J16 after an area of the roadway flooded near 39, 41 Bomb Shelter, and turned into a muddy hole. The J25 was constructed primarily by jOOST Smith, as well as various others – turning a dirt pile into a flat and rideable surface. The J25 is no longer needed, however still commonly used.

Intersections

The roadway is a 23.6-metre (77 ft) long state highway which travels from Plitvice to Új Repülő, and intersects with three roads, two of which are located in Új Repülő, and another in Plitvice.
