There are two main types of elections in the Principality of New Eiffel - local elections and general elections. The former are used to elect Mayors for each city, also known as mayoral elections. General elections are held once every year between 15 – 25 December, ending on Christmas Day unless all votes have been cast before than. It was announced in late December 2019 that having a mayoral election for all three cities would be considered for sometime in 2020. General elections use Instant-runoff voting.
