The Most Honourable Order of the Crown of Purvanchal (Hindi: पूर्वांचल ताज मानपदवी), formally known as the Order of the Territorial Crown of Purvanchal is third highest order of chivalry of the state of Purvanchal ranking below the Royal Family Order of Purvanchal. It is conferred for distinguished services towards the state and its people. The order was constituted on 7 September 2020 by Rajpramukh Dhrubajyoti Roy, alongside the Royal Family Order of Purvanchal. The order is conferred upon both state and foreign dignitaries for their outstanding and remarkable services.
The order was renamed as the "Order of the Crown of Purvanchal" on 12 February 2022.
History
The Order of the Crown of Purvanchal was formally established as the "Order of the Territorial Crown of Purvanchal" by Rajpramukh Dhrubajyoti Roy on 7 September 2020. With the creation of the other state honours, the Order of the Crown became the junior-most order of the state. On 12 February 2022, the order was renamed to its current name.
On 1 December 2022, the Rajpramukh issued a royal decree through which it became the third highest order of the state ranking immediately after the Royal Family Order of Purvanchal.
