Eugene Smith, also known as Bryce Smith, was born on January 7, 2002, in Caldwell County, North Carolina, where he spent his childhood. He is an American micronationalist who is currently the monarch of Norgaardia. Eugene was previously the monarch of the United Kingdom of Serramwen, but that micronation has since been dissolved. In addition to his role in Norgaardia, he is focused on his activities with Vishwamitra and has also been involved with Monmark, Begon, Dracul, and Sancratosia in the past.
Micronational career
Eugene formally entered micronationalism on January 7, 2021, by founding the Kingdom of Serramwen, a constitutional monarchy located in North Carolina. The establishment of Serramwen marked the beginning of Eugene’s journey into the world of micronationalism, where he sought to create a unique and structured community. His role as the leader of Serramwen allowed him to experiment with governance models and implement policies reflective of his vision for a small, yet vibrant nation. During this period, Eugene also joined the Commonwealth of Dracul, becoming an active member of its community. In Dracul, he served as Bran District City Council Chairman from July 23, 2021, to October 23, 2021. His leadership in this role involved overseeing local governance and contributing to the development of community projects.
Eugene’s contributions to Dracul extended beyond local governance. He was appointed as the first Trade Representative, a position he held from September 20 to October 23, 2021. In this capacity, Eugene played a pivotal role in fostering trade relationships and promoting economic activities within the Commonwealth. Additionally, he served as the 5th Attorney General of Dracul during the same period, where he was involved in legal matters and contributed to the development of the nation’s legal framework. His multifaceted roles in Dracul demonstrated his commitment to both administrative and legal aspects of micronational governance.
In addition to his roles in Dracul, Eugene also served as the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Ela'r'oech from October 1 to November 2021. This position allowed him to further refine his leadership skills and contribute to the governance of another micronational entity. His tenure in Ela'r'oech was characterized by efforts to advance the nation’s objectives and strengthen its administrative functions.
Eugene’s involvement continued in the Principality of Sancratosia, where he was the first Minister of Society from May 17, 2022, until his resignation on March 5, 2023. His role in Sancratosia involved shaping social policies and fostering community development.
On July 10, 2023, Eugene was appointed Administrator of the Vishwamitran overseas territory of Roanoke, succeeding Arturo Lara. This appointment provided him with the opportunity to oversee the administration of Vishwamitra’s international presence and contribute to its expansion efforts. Following the dissolution of the Kingdom of Serramwen, Eugene has shifted his focus exclusively to Vishwamitra. He is actively engaged in building and nurturing a new community within Vishwamitra, dedicating his efforts to expanding and enhancing this micronational project. Eugene’s current work aims to create a dynamic and collaborative environment, fostering growth and innovation within Vishwamitra.
