The House of Sridasa is a junior royal family and a cadet branch of the House of Sriraya of the state of Purvanchal in Vishwamitra. The royal house was officially created on 12 March 2023 by the Rajpramukh of Purvanchal Varuna Sriraya by separating the members of his maternal lineage from the House of Sriraya and bestowing the dignity of a separate royal house with his late grandfather, Prince Jogesh Chandra Das as the founder of the royal house.
Origin
The origin of the royal house dates back to the 1930s in Dhaka, British India (present-day Bangladesh) where Prince Jogesh Chandra Das, the founder of the royal house was born. Following India's independence in 1947, he migrated to Kolkata with his brothers and sisters and later settled in Guwahati where he married his wife, Princess Grandmother Basanti Das. The royal couple went on to have three children namely Princess Krishna, the Princess Mother of Purvanchal (born 1974), Princess Sibani Das Kar (born 1975) and Prince Biswajit Das (born 1980). Prince Jogesh Das died in 2011 and Princess Basanti Das died in 2015.
In 2020, the royal couples eldest grandchild Varuna Sriraya became the Rajpramukh of Purvanchal and thus the head of the House of Sriraya, the reigning dynasty in Purvanchal. Accordingly, he appointed his two cousins namely Prince Abhiraj of Purvanchal and Princess Tanvi of Purvanchal as royals and bestowed royal status and ranks upon them.
On 12 March 2023, Rajpramukh Varuna Sriraya separated his two maternal cousins from the House of Sriraya except for keeping their rights of succession to the throne of Purvanchal and formally created the House of Sridasa along with granting royal titles and ranks to the his maternal family in recognition of the marital union between Princess Krishna of Sridasa with Prince Debajyoti of Sriraya in 1999.

By letters patent issued on 12 March 2023, the Rajpramukh of Purvanchal granted royal styles and titles upon the members of the House of Sridasa. The female consorts of the princes of the royal house shall bear the title of "Princess Consort" while the male consorts of the princesses shall not be entitled to any royal title but shall be addressed as "The Honourable".
The members of the royal house shall have the right to inherit the throne of Purvanchal with the permission of the crown of Purvanchal. Prince Abhiraj and Princess Tanvi of the House of Sridasa are eligible to inherit the throne of Purvanchal by royal order.
