The Order of Milte is the highest and the sole order of the Vishwamitran overseas territory of Sankewitahasuwakon. The order was constituted on 23 May 2021 by the Rashtradhyaksh in his capacity as the Sovereign of Sankewitahasuwakon acting on the advice of the Governor of the territory through his royal decree no. 180-2021. The order is conferred in recognition of the special tradition of the community and exceptional services towards the nation and the territory of Sankewitahasuwakon and is conferred on the pleasure of the Sovereign and shall be given out on solstices and equinoxes for the great work promoting the differing cultural identities within Vishwamitra and its connected communities.
Composition
The Order of Milte is conferred in the single grade of Member or “Kinuwehtahsuwin”. The members of the order are entitled to the post-nominal letters of SOM. The Rashtradhyaksh is the Sovereign of the order, while the Governor of Sankewitahasuwakon is the Grand Master of the order. The current governor Lord Birch of Machias serves as the inaugural and current Grand Master of the Order of the Heron.
