Majulah Indokistan (English: Onward Indokistan) was the former Indokistani national anthem before the new national anthem introduced and adopted. This anthem were introduced by Mustafa Hakim and adopted in March 2011

History

After the shortage of idea for the national anthem, Mustafa Hakim compose the lyrics in March 17 2011, with Dicky L. K. proposed the music. Until June 7, Indokistan anthem used the melody of Beethoven's "Ode to Joy".

Started with a discourse in May 2011, the anthem will have 2 lyrics to be sung as official, Indonesian and English. The English lyrics are wrote by the same Indonesian language writers, and starting from May 21, the national anthem has two languages that official and singable.

The "Ode to Joy" music that used as the national anthem finally changed to the same melody of the national anthem of Romania, Desteapta-te, romane in June 9, 2011. The changes were suggested by the creator itself, and accepted by majority of parliament members.

Lyrics

The anthem have 3 stanzas, the bold one is the stanza which is must be sung. The refrain have the same lyrics, that the changes only in the second row. The two languages used are singable, both lyrics come from its translation. It encourage Indokistani peoples to fight for Indokistan, fight for its flag and encourage to rise the nationalism spirit.

The lyrics itself tells about Indokistan location in Southeast Asia and all peoples that happily will protect the nation, it was described on stanza 1. The second stanza describe that peoples of Indokistan will always love their nation and the national goal reached by January Revolution. Third stanza describe the will of Indokistani peoples to defend their nation and their pride.
