The Great War Part I
The Great War Part I is a 2018 New Eiffelic war film directed and produced by Zarel Smith, written by amateur historian Joost Smith. Both Smiths star in the film. Set sometime between 1914 and 1915, the film follows a German and British solider on a battle field engaging in trench warfare, who decide to work together as they begin to develop a friendship. The film was created and distributed by Z&jProductions.
The film was released on 12 April 2018, and was met with critical acclaim for its performances, realism, set design, score, sound mixing and screenplay. It was also very popular among audiences, and was for a long time the most seen New Eiffelic film, and still holds that record if you exclude online viewings. It was and still is the only war film released in New Eiffel. Since its release, The Great War Part I has been considered one of the greatest New Eiffelic films ever made, and has been credited as being largely influential on New Eiffelic cinema. A sequel, titled The Great War Part II set between 1915 and 1916, is in development.
