Tardis is the capital city of the Kossian province of Gallifrey. It is in the direct control of the Burgomeister of Gallifrey and it is considred the most sacred place for worship in all of Gallifrey. Contrary to other kossian provinces, Gallifrey does not speak English but instead, the Gallifreyan language and the Portuguese.
Etymology
Tardis is a reference to the Time And Relative Dimension In Space; a fictional time machine and spacecraft, disguised in the form of a British police box, used by the Doctor in the British sci-fi television series Doctor Who
