Shezan Khan is a Bangladeshi-Imrulian journalist and litterateur who is currently serving as the minister of housing & public works since 26 June 2024. He previously served as the deputy speaker of the Parliament of Imruland from 27 March 2024 to 26 June 2024. He was appointed on the post following a court order that suspended Mahitul Islam Leone from the post of deputy speaker. He also served as the minister of science and technology from 27 January to 14 June 2024.

Early life and education

Shezan Khan was born on November 29, 2006 on Mymensingh, Bangladesh. Later he was transferred to Dhaka. He completed his high school education from the Shamsul Hoque Khan School and College (SHKSC) in 2023. He is completing college education from the Dhaka City College.

Career in Imruland

Shezan Khan joined Imruland as a member of the Parliament of Imruland on November 2022. He was appointed as the minister of science & technology on 27 January 2024 in the cabinet of Prime Minister Ishtiak Mahfuz Abdullah and served unil the end of Ishtiak's premiership on 14 June 2024. He was appointed as the acting deputy speaker the of Parliament of Imruland on 27 March 2024 when the main deputy speaker Leone was dismissed from office on the orders of the Supreme Court of Imruland for contempt of court. He served on the post until 26 June 2024. He was appointed as the minister of housing & public works on the cabinet of Mohammad Noyon on 26 June 2024.[1]

Other activities

Shezan Khan is the founder of SHKSC Literature Club. Former Prime Ministers Safat Zareef Hassan and Nihal Ahmed are also members of the club. He is also working as a staff reporter in the Daily Chetonay Bangladesh (DCB) since 12 January 2023. He is also serving as the Mymensingh district representative of the Sahittobidda Prokashon.
