Deputy Prime Minister of Imruland is the deputy head of government of Imruland. This is the second most powerful executive post within the nation after Prime Minister. Appointing by the prime minister, he can act as prime minister in his absentia. The current deputy prime minister is Safat Zareef Hassan who was appointed on the post on 27 January 2024 by Prime Minister Ishtiak Mahfuz Abdullah.

History

The post of Prime Minister was created on 18 July 2022, two days after the establishment of Imruland. Showib Ahmmed led Imruland till 30 September as deputy prime minister. Deputy prime minister lost the deputy executive power when the first government was formed as the government was led by vice president. Deputy Prime Minister got the power of deputy head of government from 16 July 2023 when the third amendment of the constitution took effective. The amendment abolished the post of president and introduced a new type of government headed by the prime minister.
