Dr. Farhana Alam Liza is a Bangladeshi doctor and civil servant who served as the Deputy Prime Minister of Imruland for only three days. Previously she served as the health minister and sports minister in different times.
Early life and education
Farhana Alam Liza completed her high school education from the Bangladesh Mahila Samiti (BMS) Girls' High School & College and college education from the Chittagong College. She completed her M.B.B.S course from the Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College in 2015. She has a son.
Career in Imruland
Liza joined Imruland as a member of the Parliament of Imruland in 2022. She was appointed as the Sports Minister in the 2022 Imruland interim government on 30 September 2022. She was appointed as Health Minister on the next day in additional charges and worked in the both ministries until her resignation on 14 November following the 2022 Imrulian political crisis. In her time, she made a huge improvement in the fields of sports and health in Imruland. She is called the pioneer of good health in Imruland. Before being minister, she served as the president of Imruland Cricket Association (ICA). The first cricket series was arranged by ICA Vice President Abir Hossain during her presidentship. She was a member of the Imruland Constitution Drafting Committee. She left Imruland following the 2022 Imrulian political crisis on 19 November 2022 and returned after a week on the request of Vice President Showib Ahmmed. She got a warm welcome from the parliament members on that time. Liza was again appointed as the Minister of Health and Sports on 23 November. She was appointed as the Deputy Prime Minister of Imruland on 25 November following the resignation of Muzahidul Islam. She resigned again after three days of the appointment on 28 November 2022. She is the only female deputy prime minister in the history of Imruland.
Career as doctor
After completing M.B.B.S education from the Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College, Farhana Alam Liza joined the same institution as an Honorary Medical Officer (HMO). Later, she was appointed as an honorary medical officer in the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) in 2017. She was a medical officer in the Bangladesh Specialized Hospital. After completing Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination, she was appointed in the Shahid Syed Nazrul Islam Medical College of Kishoreganj in 2022. She is currently serving as a medical officer in the institution.
