Tanha Shafiq Bhuiyan is a Bangladeshi politician who served as the Speaker of the Parliament of Imruland. Previously she served as the deputy speaker and cabinet ministers in different times. She was also a member of Imruland Intelligence Agency (IIA), Imruland Election Commission and Imruland Constitution Drafting Committee. She is one of the four heroes of Imruland.

Early life

Tanha Shafiq Bhuiyan was born on 27 November 1998 in Narsingdi, Bangladesh. She completed her high school education from the Balapur N.c High School in 2014 and college education from the Jaj Bhuiyan College of Narsingdi in 2016. She completed her MA in English from the Narshingdi Government College. Her mother died in 2018.

Career in Imruland

Tanha Shafiq Bhuiyan joined Imruland as a member of the Parliament of Imruland in 2022. She was appointed as Minister of Women and Children Affairs. She was appointed as the first deputy speaker of the Parliament of Imruland after two days of the installation of formal republic in Imruland on 2 October 2023. Bhuiyan was prompted to speaker on 6 October 2022 when Vice President Showib Ahmmed resigned on a sudden effect. She is the only female Speaker of the Parliament of Imruland. She was resigned on 28 October and re-appointed during the 2022 Imruland political crisis on 18 November 2022. She is a member of the starting committee of the Constitution Drafting Committee. She was a presidential candidate for the 2022 Imruland President Election but lost. She remained as speaker during the presidency of Fokhrul Sazzad. But the relationship between Bhuiyan and Sazzad started to deteriorate during this period. She resigned as a result of conflict with the president. She left Imruland after the resignation. She returned to Imruland during the presidency of Showib Ahmmed. Tanha was named a member of Imruland Election Commission for the 2023 Imruland President Election. The election was controversial as the losing candidate boycotted the result. She was a member of the Imruland Intelligence Agency (IIA) and worked to maintain stability during the 2022 Imruland political crisis. She was only female member of IIA. She is called one of the four heroes of Imruland for her contribution during this crisis.

Controversy

Tanha Shafiq Bhuiyan was a member of the Imruland Election Commission. The controversial 2023 Imruland President Election was arranged under the commission. The losing candidate Nazmul Hasan Fahim boycotted the result. It resulted the 2023 Imruland political crisis. She was threatened to attack by the supporters of Fahim. However, the attack was thwarted by the Imruland Intelligence Agency. She was a victim of bullying from former President Fokhrul Sazzad and his supporters. She left Imruland permanently following the crisis.
