A constitutional referendum was held in the Popular Union of Occitania on 7 May 2017.
History
On April 17, the president of the Popular Union of Occitania, Babou Chkaya, announced that a constitutional revision referendum takes place on on May 7. This referendum was held one week after the flag’s referendum. The new constitution draft is available here (in French). In this draft, all references to socialism have disappeared.
Voting
Physical urns were installed on May 7. Citizens living abroad could vote from 23 April to 7 May by sending their vote on upoccitanie@mail.be.
