Chandan Das (born 2005) is a Vishwamitran politician who is currently serving as the Chief Minister of Beltola since 12 November 2024. Prior to becoming the chief minister, he had also served as the Governor of Kamrupa from 28 July 2024 until 10 November 2024 and as the Mayor of Brikshasthana from 26 June 2020 until 4 September 2024. Apart from that, he has served as a minister of state in the union cabinets holding various important portfolios between 2019 and 2020. He has also served as the chief minister of the union territory of Basistha between January and March 2020.

Chandan Das was born in 2005.
Career
Chandan Das joined Vishwamitra back in 2019 and was then elected to the parliament in June the same year as a candidate of the Friends Societal Congress. On 17 August 2019, he was inducted into the union council of ministers as a minister of state in the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs. A day later he was also assigned the additional charge as Minister of State in the Ministry of Planning and Programme Implementation. He was moved to the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs in a cabinet reshuffle on 2 September 2019 and remained in charge of the ministry until 29 September 2019. He also held the additional charge of the minister of state in the Ministry of Environmental Resources until 20 September. He was then moved to the Ministry of Sanitation and Public Health on 20 September, and remained in charge until the ministry's abolition on 16 November 2019. During this period, he also served as the Ministry of Human Resource Development until 24 November 2019. In a reshuffle on 26 November, he was re-appointed as minister of state in the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs and served until being moved to the Ministry of National Development on 9 December 2019. He held the charge of the ministry until his resignation from the council of ministers on 2 January 2020.
Days after stepping down from the union council of ministers, he was appointed as the Chief Minister of the union territory of Basistha on 14 January 2020 by the President, on the recommendation of lieutenant governor Manoj Chetry. He served as the chief minister until the dissolution of all state governments on 3 March 2020 ahead of the general election. After the general election, he was re-inducted into the union council of ministers of prime minister Tanishkaa Patranabish on 22 March 2020 and assigned the role as minister of state in the Ministry of Education, a position he held till the council's dissolution on 30 April 2020.
After Vishwamitra's transition into a monarchy in June 2020, he was appointed as the Governor of Brikshasthana on 26 June 2020, along with the additional charge of Basistha City. He was later re-designated as the mayor of both cities in October the same year. He was relieved of his additional duties as mayor of Basistha City in March 2023 with the appointment of Jemina Hazarika.
On 28 July 2024, he was appointed as the Governor of Kamrupa by Rashtradhyaksh Varuna Sriraya. He served in office until his resignation on 10 November 2024. Two days after resigning as governor, he was appointed as the chief minister of Beltola by regent Princess Mother Lipi on 12 November 2024.
