The First Minister of Alexander is the head of government of the Abeldane state of Alexander. They are the only member of the Alexandrian legislature, and are appointed and dismissed at the discretion of the Grand Duke, though the position is directly elected by the Alexandrian people. The current First Minister is Alexander von Hapsburg, appointed by Grand Duke Max I on the 19th of September, 2017.
The First Minister has, traditionally, been an appointed position given by the Grand Duke from whomever can command a majority in the State Council, as the state bans all political parties.
