Doros Patusky OCP (born 15 August 2008), is an Irish-Polish retired micronationalist and musician who served as the fourth President of Roscamistan from 8 April 2022 until his eventual removal by the Regime of the 11th of May on 11 May 2022.
Though not an early citizen, having only joining in August 2021, he was pivotal to the creation of the nation’s foreign and defence policy and growth to the nation, and accelerated de-isolationism in Roscamistan, allowing for Roscamistan to become a regional power in the Galway Sector.
Although he is generally considered to be the most ineffective President of the Federation, he is praised for his earlier work in both foreign policy and defence, and set the modern structure of the military.
Early life
Patusky was born in Galway City, to an Irish father and a Polish mother, he grew up close to Mervue.
Micronational career
Patusky became aware of the existence of Roscamistan in late July 2021 after a friend of his discovered the new and in the eyes of most, low quality Roscami pages. It was not until 23 August 2021 that he was offered to join Roscamistan by President Thomas Jacobs. Patusky became the Deputy Foreign Secretary, with special access to cabinet meetings.
In September 2021, the office of First Secretary of State was transferred from Thomas Jacobs to Patusky, along with the title of Paramount Leader. This, along with de facto control over the Ministry of Defence made him a powerful figure within the nation, considered only below the President, Thomas Jacobs.
On 19 September 2021, in collaboration with Matthew Hanlon, Patusky created the Mervustan Militia, a new military unit in Mervustan to protect it from internal and external threats. After telling President Jacobs of this, he later became the first Governor of Mervustan, as well as the Mervustan Militia’s Commander. On 1 October 2021 he became the Secretary of State for Defence, replacing Chris Waldron.
On 21 October 2021, Patusky resigned citing that his ideas were not being taken into consideration. Patusky was greatly overlooked at this time and he believed that his changes would stop people from leaving Roscamistan. At the same time he said he would return if one person signed up to the Mervustan Militia. Patusky returned on 29 October 2021, after Dean Merritt signed himself up for the Mervustan Militia. After he lost the position of First Secretary of State to Katherine Keadivich, Patusky was made Foreign Secretary, now having both power over defence and foreign affairs.
On 22 November 2021, Patusky became the Interim Vice President of Roscamistan, after the resignation of Connor Barrows four days prior. He was elected Vice President in the November 2021 Roscamistan elections in the special vice-presidential election against Dean Merritt, and was also reconfirmed as Defence Secretary. After the ballot closed, he and President Jacobs applauded the election as a success, with 28 votes in, becoming the election with the highest turnout ever.
Later career
In December 2021, President Thomas Jacobs announced to the Cabinet he would not run in the first presidential election. This left Patusky as the favourite for the presidency. The United Party of Roscamistan endorsed Patusky for President, with Thomas Jacobs running campaigns on behalf of Patusky. His main rivals in the election were the Finance Secretary Ludwig Collins, who ran as an Independent for the left, and Samuel Newman, the Minister of Agriculture and former Unterhaus Speaker.
On 18 February 2022, the voting for the February 2022 Roscamistan presidential election began, with the main news provider, Pravda, predicting a slim Patusky win. As predicted, Patusky won the election by a plurality of the vote, and became the first ever democratically elected President of Roscamistan. His inauguration was set to 18 March 2022.
After a long delay, an acting and a provisional president, Patusky was finally inaugurated as the fourth President of Roscamistan, becoming the first democratically-elected President. On 18 April 2022, after the April 2022 legislative elections, Patusky was elected a representative, and joined the Majority Caucus.
Patusky proved to be an inactive leader due to a wavering loyalty in Roscamistan. Thomas Jacobs, having the responsibility of passing most laws and appointments of ministers took control of the state. He was ousted in the 11th of May Movement, by the Regime of the 11th of May. After the coup, he formally left politics in the eye of the public.
Personal life
Patusky is a musician, having made a rock band with a few friends from school. He is also a non-practicing Catholic.
Politics
During his time as a cabinet minister, Patusky was a reformer, and an advocate for reorganising government. He was responsible for the open foreign policy, the basis of which is the current policy of the government in regards to foreign affairs. He also created the ideas of provincial militias, starting with the Mervustan Militia in September 2021.
He was responsible for creating the Second Constitution of Roscamistan. [1]
