The Sancratosia Rompejelos (English: Sancratosia Ice Breakers), commonly referred to as Rompejelos, is a fantasy ice hockey team based in Sancratosia that competed in the MIHF Ice Hockey World Cup in 2022.

The team's colours are red, white and black. It is owned by the House of Sancratosia.

History

The club was founded on 1 September 2022 (2022-09-01), specifically to join the seventh season of the MIHF Ice Hockey World Cup, a league managed by the Jewish Bolshevist Republic of Schykille. The public announce of the creation of the club happened on 3 September 2022 (2022-09-03).^[1] On 31 October 2022 (2022-10-31), the Rompejelos decided to withdraw from the league after playing only one season, finishing fourth in Group A and not clinching a spot in the playoffs.

The decision to withdraw was taken mostly because of disagreements over the functioning of the league and Schykille's support to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, a position contradictory with the core values and principles of Sancratosia.

Arena

The Arena Gordie-Howe (English: Gordie-Howe Arena) is named after Gordie Howe, former Detroit Red Wings player that Princess Cloe had the chance to meet.

2022 MIHF Ice Hockey World Cup Season

The season started on 1 September 2022 (2022-09-01). Sancratosia played in the home opener against hosts Carpathia, winning the match 3-1.^[2] Despite winning 3 of its 5 matches, Sancratosia finished fourth in Group A and did not make the playoffs. The Social State of El Dorado, whom the Rompejelos faced in Group A, emerged as the winners of the 2022-2023 season.^[3]
