The Flag of Sancratosia (Lingua Franca Nova: Bandera de Sancratosia) is the national flag of the Principality of Sancratosia. It features a quartered design of red and white, reflecting the same pattern found on the coat of arms of the Principality.

Overview

The design of the flags of Sancratosia was influenced by the flags of Monaco. This homage to Monaco reflects its achievements and success as a microstate. The flags of Sancratosia follow a similar conception and serve comparable uses within the Principality

Etiquette

When displayed indoors on a standing flagpole, the flag of Sancratosia is arranged so that the intersection of the four quarters is visible. When hanging vertically, the top-left quarter must be red.

Variant flags

Princely flag

The princely flag consists of a white field with the greater version of the coat of arms at the center. It is used in official capacities, such as in the presence of a Sancratosian official like the Minister of State.[1]

The banner of arms is a checkered flag of red and white. It follows similar usage as in Monaco but remains unofficial with no designated use.

Personal standard of Cloe

This standard is similar to the one used in Monaco. It features the heraldic Crown of Sancratosia over two stylized letters "C" on a white background. It is used exclusively in the immediate presence of the Sovereign Princess.

Municipal flag

The municipal flag consists of three vertical bands alternating red, white, and red, with a black star in the middle. This design was almost chosen for the national flag of Sancratosia but with blue bands instead of red ones. It is used by the Municipality of Sancratosia.

Other flags

The flags of both the Public Force and the Public Security feature the national flag of Sancratosia in the canton, bordered by a thin silver stripe. Each flag incorporates symbols specific to the organization they represent: a red field with a bugle for the Public Force and a white field with a walkie-talkie for the Public Security.

Use

The wordmark of the Principality of Sancratosia.

The flag of Sancratosia is prominently featured in the touristic wordmark of the Principality, which is utilized in promotional campaigns and on social media platforms. This branding was developed by Saluta Sancratosia, the state corporation responsible for promoting Sancratosia internationally.
