The Ministry of Science and Technology, officially Ministry of State for Science and Technology (Portuguese: Ministério de Estado para Ciência e Tecnologia) is a ministerial department of Ebenthal responsible for the country's scientific policy as well as for carrying out scientific and techonological aims. It administers and oversees scientific institutions, projects and studies ordered by the government. It is led by the Minister of Science and Technology who is appointed by the Prime Minister.
