The Ministry of Culture and Education, officially Ministry of State for Culture and Education (Portuguese: Ministério de Estado para Cultura e Educação) is a ministerial department of Ebenthal responsible for the country's cultural and educational policies. This includes developing and supporting the arts, promoting the national culture through various means such as events, register sites of cultural importance, addressing educational concerns such as standardization, administrating cultural and educational institutions such as the Royal National Library, among other things. The ministry is led by the Minister of Culture and Education who is appointed by the Prime Minister.
