The Kingdom of Wellmoore is a constitutional executive monarchy founded by His Majesty King Luke I of Wellmoore on 14 March 2020.

Currently located in the UK, the nation is a monarchy with the monarch being a largely ceremonial position but also being engaged in national politics.

History

Pre-Lockdown Period (14 March 2020 - 23 March 2020)

The Kingdom of Wellmoore was founded on 14 March 2020 by Luke of Wellmoore initially as a republic, later the same day becoming an absolute monarchy. In this time His Majesty set up the leadership of the nation and began deciding what Wellmoore should have and needed. The House of Wellmoore, Wellmoore's Royal Household, was also founded around this time.

Lockdown Period (23 March 2020 - July 2020)

During the United Kingdom's first full national lockdown, His Majesty finished the formation of the Government, set up the Armed Forces of Wellmoore and Royal Wellmoorean Police Force and drafted the constitution and the laws of the land as well as forming the 3 regions of Wellmoore (Apsion, Fairwood, Oxhall). The Capital City was appointed an named, becoming Midnight City. The monarchy became constitutional.

Post-Lockdown Period (July 2020 - 4 June 2021)

His Majesty began hiring others for governmental, police, military and justice positions including appointing the first Prime Minister of Wellmoore. He also entered Wellmoore into the Progressive Association as well as other alliances. The nation grew and became more developed and is still being developed. The monarchy became a Constitutional Executive Monarchy.

Wellmoorean Crisis & Insurgency (30 June 2021 - 2 July 2021)

On 31 June 2021, King Luke of Wellmoore was informed of a potential insurgency within the nation to dethrone him without anything provoking them to.

On 1 July 2021 this was confirmed by the Insurgent's Leader. A number of citizens and friends of the King turned and threatened a Civil War. As of noon on 1 July the Insurgent Leader stepped down, but leadership was passed on, and the Insurgent Group was still threatening the nation. Later in the afternoon leadership of the rebellion fell to the Prime Minister of Wellmoore.

On 2 July 2021 the Prime Minister then disbanded the Insurgency, returning Wellmoore to peace.

War Against the Seljuks Period (4 June 2021 - 4 October 2021)

On 4 June 2021, a member of the Progressive Association (People's Republic of Titan) was raided by the Seljuk Empire and war was declared. Wellmoore decided to provide support to their ally in their war against the Empire. Wellmoore fought to assist their ally and to prevent other nations being attacked, though King Luke held apprehensions about Wellmoore's affiliation with the war due to being one of the majority who disagree with micronational war.

On 4 October 2021, King Luke withdrew Wellmoore from the War after 4 months to the day of being affiliated with the war due to inactivity of the war at the time and Wellmoore not wishing to becoming a target and wishing to remove affiliation.

Modern Day Wellmoore (4 October 2021 - Present)

After 4 months of being associated with the War Against the Seljuks, Wellmoore withdrew and have been fully carrying on with national development.

Government & Politics

His Majesty's Government of Wellmoore was founded along with the nation on 14 March 2020. The current Government is lead by the Prime Minister of Wellmoore (currently The Rt. Hon. Lord Axel, Leader of the LGBT Party).

Leadership & Elections

His Majesty's Government is run by an elected Prime Minister. The person elected as Prime Minister is the leader of the party who wins the most votes in an election.

Prime Ministerial elections in Wellmoore happen every 5 years at the just before the end of each Prime Ministerial term.

In Wellmoore the First Past the Post election system is used.

Regional Governments

Wellmoore is split into 3 regions; Apsion, Oxhall and Fairwood. Each region will be lead by a Lord Mayor who report to the National Government. Lord Mayors are in charge of working with the government to run the region they hold the position over.

Lord Mayoral terms last for three years.

Each city in Wellmoore is lead by an elected Mayor and the city council. Mayors work closely with the city councillors and Lord Mayors to run their cities efficiently.

Nobility

The monarch may appoint people to be members of nobility to rule over an area, for example they could appoint someone to be the Duke of Midnight City. Nobility also work closely with the monarch to help run Wellmoore. Princes and Princesses may be awarded Noble Titles and Positions as well as their position as Prince/Princess.

Lordships are also available.

Anyone who marries a noble will be bestowed with the title of their Significant Other. Noble Titles & Lordships are hereditary, and may also be passed down if the title holder abdicates.

Lord and Ladyships are also available along with knighthoods to those the monarch awards them to.

The Royal Family

The The Monarchy of the Kingdom of Wellmoore is the Wellmoorean sovereign and Head of State.

The Royal Family is lead by His Majesty King Luke I of Wellmoore and is currently only limited to him, but may grow in the future. The monarch is Wellmoore's Head of State and can be seen as a ceremonial figurehead, however they may get involved in the day-to-day running of the nation with the government as the nation needs, normally in times of war and/or national crisis. The Wellmoorean Monarch is a constitutional executive monarch.

Those who marry into the royal family will be awarded with either Queen Consort or Prince Consort of Wellmoore (if marrying the monarch) or their husband/wife's title but changed for them, such as if someone was the wife of the Prince of Apsion they'd have the title of Princess of Apsion bestowed upon them.

All children of the monarch will become a Prince or Princess, their grandchildren and great-grandchildren will also be born into the title of Prince or Princess. When the monarch passes away or abdicates, their eldest child or next closest relative will inherit the throne of Wellmoore.

All members of the Wellmoorean Royal Family are members of the House of Wellmoore.

The State religion of Wellmoore used to be Pastafarianism but has slowly transitioned to more generally leaning towards the Abrahamic faiths, though Luke I of Wellmoore believes that political decisions shouldn't be solely influenced or based on religious beliefs - though they may contribute somewhat to the decisions. Wellmoore also supports freedom of religion.

The only current news source within the Kingdom of Wellmoore is the Wellmoore News Association, Founded on 7 March 2021, and is looking for employees from Wellmoore's citizens.

The Flag of Wellmoore was designed by Luke I of Wellmoore. It is the second flag to be used as the National Flag of Wellmoore, becoming the national flag on 16 June 2020.

Although there is no active draft, the military is in need of personnel to serve the nation and defend it from foreign and domestic enemies.

The Royal Wellmoorean Police Force is the Police Force of Wellmoore, but also in need of officers. They play a key role in helping fight crime within Wellmoore.

The current Police Commissioner is the Rt. Hon. Lord Axel, the PM of Wellmoore.

HM's Prison Service

HM's Prison Service was founded on 22 August 2021 by royal warrant, it works on the punishment or the rehabilitation of criminals within Wellmoore - however, due to the nation's limited resources the service has more of a focus on helping maintain peace and order in Wellmoore.
