The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) is the proffessional head of the Armed Forces of Wellmoore and the most senior uniformed military adviser to the Minister of Defence and Prime Minister of Wellmoore. The Chief of Defence Staff is based at the Ministry of Defence.
The Chief of Defence Staff is also the Chair of the Chiefs of Staff Committee.
History of the Post
The post was created on 16 March 2020 with the foundation of the Armed Forces of Wellmoore. The Chief of Defence Staff is tasked with leading the Armed Forces of Wellmoore and advising the governmental leaders.
The Chief of Defence Staff is the highest ranking Wellmoorean military posting after the Commander-in-Chief.
