The Lirint of Hashima, unofficially called simply Lirint, is the national currency of the Principality of Hashima, valid only inside the national borders and the foreign embassies of the Principality of Hashima.
From 13 October 2015 until 12 November 2015, has been used also by the Popular Union of Occitania. In 12 November 2015, after the end of relations between Occitania and Hashima, the permiss to can use the Lirint of Hashima has been denied to Occitania.
After the ceasing of the permission to can use the Lirint of Hashima as their national currencies, the Popular Union of Occitania continued to use it, as de facto currency, however unofficially because not more supported by the formal permission from the Principality of Hashima.
For this reason, the Principality of Hashima released a new series of banknotes, with a text on it that explicitly states that the banknotes are valid only inside Hashima and its foreign embassies, and so every use outside these places is forbidden.
Until 25 October it was called Yuan of Hashima, but has been renamed after the change of national languages and kind of government inside the People's Republic of Hashima, that now is called Principality of Hashima.
The Lirint of Hashima uses the decimal system, consisting of 100 equal centiller (¢). 100 Centiller are equal to 1 Lirint (₤).
The name Lirint comes from the joining of names of the former currency of Italy, Lira and the actual Hungarian money, Forint.
Banknotes have same length and height between them. Each note have the facial value expressed in numbers, symbols and letters, with also a serial number, the map of the Principality of Hashima (on both the sides) and signatures of Prince and Princess of Hashima.
