His Royal Majesty Suryadeva I (Odia: ସୁର୍ଯ୍ୟଦେବ I) is a micronationalist figure and a diplomat, notably recognized as the current reigning monarch of the Kingdom of Mayursia since 5 May 2023. He previously served as the Emperor of Astronesia and the Prime Minister of Elite City before Mayursia took its present form.

In Mayursia

Suryadeva is notably recognized for his pivotal role in founding of Mayursia and its predecessors. His journey commenced with the inception of the Free Republic of Elite City, where he assumed the mantle of the nation's first founder. With a vision for progress, Suryadeva mustered support from his friends, initiating the formation of the government and assuming the inaugural role of Prime Minister. As the Free Republic encountered a period of inactivity, Suryadeva transitioning it into the Federal Empire of Astronesia. Despite endeavors, Astronesia faced a similar fate, slipping into inactivity.

On May 5, 2023, with the support of former citizens and many prominent micronationalists, Suryadeva organised the revival of Astronesia. Under his astute leadership, Astronesia underwent a transformation into the Kingdom of Mayursia. Suryadeva's enduring commitment and leadership positioned him as the first, longest-serving, and singular head of government within Mayursia and its predecessor nations. He currently serves as the King, the Chief of Diplomatic Corps and the Chief of Defence Staffs of Mayursia. Suryadeva also currently stands as the longest and only head of state of government of Mayursia and its predecessors.

In Vishwamitra

Suryadeva joined Vishwamitra back in mid 2022 and was soon appointed as Consul-General for East India and in October the same year, he was appointed as Ambassador to India. He contested the 2022 general election from Brikshasthana constituency as a National People's Congress candidate against former prime minister Ștefan Marius Snagoveanu and was defeated by Snagoveanu. Despite his defeat in the election, he was inducted to the council of ministers under prime minister Farhaz Hazarika and appointed a minister of state in the Ministry of Home Affairs, and in the Ministry of Culture. He was chosen by the party to contest in a bye-election for the Maligaon constituency and was declared victor from the constituency.

In January 2023, he was appointed as Minister of State (Independent Charge) in the Prime Minister's Office in addition to his existing portfolios. He briefly also served as minister of state in the Ministry of External Affairs. He also became the Administrator of the crown dependency of Navrajya in April 2023. He was entrusted with bigger responsibilities in June that year after being appointed as Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Federal Affairs and Administration.

Suryadeva re-contested from Maligaon constituency in the 2023 general election and defeated his rival candidate Narendra Singh Chhetri. He was re-inducted into the council of ministers and was promoted as a cabinet minister. He was appointed the Minister of Federal Affairs and Administration and Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports. In a brief cabinet reshuffle, on 20 December 2023, he was appointed as the Minister of National Defence.

By early 2024, Vishwamitra soon fell into inactivity and Rashtradhyaksh Varuna Sriraya appointed first deputy prime minister Klarissa Sriraya as the prime minister on 29 March 2024 and appointed a cabinet with more number of resident citizens. Kapei was appointed as the Minister of Overseas Citizens' Affairs in the council of ministers. Months later, in May, he was appointed as Minister of Citizens' Welfare, and re-designated as Minister of Social Development in June the same year. Only a week after becoming the social development minister, he was appointed as Minister of Federal Territories and Minister of Communications and Technology. He continued to serve on both ministries until another cabinet reshuffle in October, in which, he was re-appointed Minister of Defence.
