The Minister of Defence of the Commonwealth of New Virginia, also known simply as the Minister of Defence, is the member of the New Virginian Cabinet who leads the Ministry of Defence. The Minister of Defence, therefore, is responsible for the administration and funding of the New Virginian Defence Force and for coordinating national defence policy within the Commonwealth. The Minister of Defence is also a statutory member of the National Security Council.
The fifth and incumbent Minister of Defence is The Rt. Hon. James Bornstein, who was appointed by President Sir Sertor Valentinus KNVI upon the advice of current Prime Minister Simon White on 10 January 2022.
