The Foreign Office of the Commonwealth of New Virginia, also known simply as the Foreign Office, is the government body responsible for the maintenance of diplomatic relations with other nations and for promoting and representing the interests of the Commonwealth of New Virginia internationally. The Foreign Office was established by the Ministries and National Security Council Resolution 2020 of the Provisional Council.
The Foreign Office is led by the First Ambassador. The Foreign Office has numerous ambassadors appointed by the First Ambassador who represent New Virginia to certain groups of nations. The current ambassadorial assignments are as follows:
- Ambassador to the Grand Unified Micronational
Responsible for the Commonwealth's GUM delegation and for diplomacy with GUM member-states not under the jurisdiction of another ambassadorial assignment. - Ambassador to the Borean Community
Responsible for the Commonwealth's Borean Community delegation and for diplomacy with Borean Community member-states not under the jurisdiction of another ambassadorial assignment. - Ambassadors-at-large for the Micronational Community
Responsible for diplomacy with all nations that do not fall under the jurisdiction of another ambassadorial assignment excluding nations classified as "macronations".
The Foreign Office at present maintains no physical embassies or consulates.
