Ebenthalis (Portuguese: Ebentálicos or Ebenthalis) are citizens of Ebenthal in accordance to the Ebenthali nationality law. This includes all permanent residents of Ebenthal itself, as well as those living outside the kingdom who have been granted or applied for citizenship and the children of Ebenthali citizens wherever they might been born. Ebenthal is a multiethnic society, which means that it is home to people of many ethnic origins, and there is no correlation between one's stock and their Ebenthali identity. Being Ebenthali is a civic phenomenon, rather than an ethnic one.

The majority of the Ebenthali people is divided into two major racial groups, that of whites (76.7%) and mixed race people (16.4%), with a significant minority of blacks (3.7%). The main natively spoken language by the Ebenthalis is the Portuguese language (73.3%), whilst German, specially its Brazilian version from the State of Santa Catarina called Katarinensisch, is the second most spoken language (9.5%). English is spoken natively (6.3%), besides bein widely spoken as a diplomatic language (6.3%), while Spanish is spoken by people of Argentinian and Bolivian origins (4.7%). While the predominant religion is the Catholicism (53.9%), a major group of Ebenthalis are Spiritists (31.7%), making of Ebenthal likely the most proportionaly Spiritist country in the world. Irreligious make the third largest group in the category (10.5%) followed by a significant Protestant minority (5.8%).

According to the 2021 census, of the total Ebenthali population, 43 hold some kind of government office, and, among these, only 11 lives in Ebenthali territory. Although Ebenthal keeps records in all of its citizens, only 74 are what the government consider "citizens-in-exercise", this means, people who weren't granted citizenship simply by living in Ebenthali territory, but sought actively to acquire Ebethali citizenship and are active in the micronation's political and social affairs. As of 2021, all Ebenthalis holds dual citizenship to say the least, and there's one single Ebenthali-born citizen, which is Her Royal Highness Princess Emmanuela of Ebenthal, who was born in Gillisburgh in 24 October 2020, being the first Ebenthali to be born a citizen by jus solis. The vast majority of Ebenthali citizens are of Brazilian origin.

According to the Constitution of Ebenthal, an Ebenthali citizen is:

  • Anyone born in Ebenthal, even to foreign born parents.
  • Anyone born outside of Ebenthal to an Ebenthali father or an Ebenthali mother who are expected to reside in Ebenthal for at least a year more.
  • Anyone born outside of Ebenthal who applied for and was accepted as an Ebenthali citizen.
  • Anyone born outside of Ebenthal who take up residence in Ebenthal for more than a year and accept the registration as an Ebenthali citizen.

According to the Constitution, all people who hold Ebenthali citizenship are equal, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender or religion.
