The Altenburg Express (Portuguese: O Expresso de Altenburgo) is an Ebenthali regularly semi-monthly newspaper based in Altenburg with nationwide and intermicronational readership. Founded in 2022, it is the country's first and only proper newspaper, owned by the Government of Ebenthal and administered by the Ministry of Information and Propaganda.

A newspaper of record, The Altenburg Express is published in the Canadian online tabloid format, embedded in the government's official website. There are plans for the newspaper to have its own domain, and even to release printed special editions. Furthermore, citizens can choose to receive news from the newspaper in their emails, including exclusive editorials.

As the only newspaper in Ebenthal, The Altenburg Express has a media monopoly and its publications, usually official, are made by a team or editors selected by the Ministry of Information and Propaganda. However, civilians may also publish with permission from the ministry. A 2020 media law sets the limits of state censorship of the media (both private and state) and guarantees media editors the right to express their opinion based on common sense, and the unrestricted right to criticize politicians and royalty. The right of reply is also guaranteed to those who feel particularly offended by publications in the newspaper. There is no formal definition for the frequency of publications, but they are commonly semi-monthly, this is, twice a month.

According to data from the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Information and Propaganda, based on the former official news publication channel aired between 2020 and 2022, the Altenburg Express' circulation reaches between 70 and 80 views, reaching an average of 40% of the country's population.
