The Altendamenach River is the name given to the part of the Das Velhas River that crosses in Ebenthal, being by length the major tributary of the basin of the São Francisco river in Brazil. Its water flows into that river at a place called Barra do Guaicuí. The source was found to be the waterfall Andorinhas located in the municipality of Ouro Preto. It is the only river in Ebenthal, crossing the municipality of Aufenbauer.
