The Order of the Violette was the highest occitanian order of merit for military and civil merits, established in 2019 by Babou Chkaya.

The order is divided into four classes of increasing distinction: Première classe, Deuxième classe, Troisième classe and Grande classe.

History

The order was established by a presidential decree,[1] published on November 3, 2019 by Babou Chkaya as hommage of Holy Violet Church. This provision had been provided by the article 9g of the Constitution, which states that the President is the only one to act in the creation and appointment of national orders.
